Celebration Day of Auckland, Haka Classic Rally with vintage and classic cars, Auckland beaches, tall ships, amazing animals in Auckland Zoo.
Auckland Zoo is home to 135 different species, over 1400 animals and has the largest diversity of wildlife in New Zealand. Auckland Zoo is a 16.35-hectare zoological garden in Auckland, New Zealand, situated next to Western Springs Park not far from Auckland"s central business district.
Among our photos are:
Meerkats live in one of the world"s harshest environments - the desert. Water is scarce, so they rarely drink - instead they find moisture in roots, plants and insects. They have a unique social dynamic and love to hang out in groups.
The little penguin (korora) is the smallest penguin in the world, standing just 25cm tall and weighing a little over 1kg.
Little penguin populations are declining in areas that aren"t protected from predators. Little penguins only come ashore at night, and they live underground in burrows, natural holes, or under human structures and buildings.
